I have always preferred leather traditional jacket type Kindle covers before. They made my clunky old Kindle 2 seem like a real paper book. This sort of kindle cover also offered good protection to a piece of equipment that was pricey, at more or less two hundred and fifty dollars.
But my latest Kindle 4 wo-fi only cost , therefore could I in truth justify spending a lot of cash on a lavish leather-based jacket style kindle 4 cover Some leather Kindle jackets (like the ones that have built in lights) cost all but as much as the e-book reader itself! Outrageous!
Even if I could (though truly I wouldn’t!), there was of course, something else to be concerned about;
the newer and smaller e-book readers are plainly brilliant to use just as they are!
I really did not need a substantial ungainly book jacket getting in the way. Since it is so comfortable using the diminutive kindle wi-fi readers in just one hand that a heavy kindle cover would spoil the feel of using the device. Moreover, with these new rubber backs to the Kindles these seem considerably more safe in your hand the way they are. Personally, i used to fret about dropping the e book reading device when using it. Currently it is really “grippy” I don’t imagine That i could do with a kindle cover on it all the time “in case I drop it”.
So, a jacket type kindle cover or a sleeve? No contest, I picked a wonderful sleeve style Kindle cover!
Nevertheless, I realize there might be times when a jacket could be more fitting:
1. When you need a book light close constantly, but without needing to cart about anything too awkward then you could like better a jacket style kindle cover which has a reading light included.
2. When you love to read “without having to hold the Kindle” for example, when eating, a flip stand kindle cover might be a fine buy.
3. When you if truth be told yearn for the feel of a “real” paper book, a jacket style kindle cover ought to help you get that feeling back!
For me – there was no contest as it simply had to be a kindle sleeve type of case, and not a book jacket style cover!
